We met in 1990 through our common interest – amateur theatre. Our first production together was ‘GIGI’ in 1992. Living in my hometown of Sheffield, just ten minutes from the countryside, we enjoyed rambling. We got married in the Registry Office in Sheffield on April 4th, 1998.
We love to travel and, taking the opportunity of being in the United States, have seen many wonderful sights; Zion Canyon in Utah, the Grand Canyon, and the Grand Tetons, to name but a few. We lived near Dallas for several years and traveled in Texas also. As you might imagine, we traveled in Europe too, our favourite destination being Greece. No matter where you go, there are always magnificent sunsets.
We returned to the U.K. briefly on 2000. Luckily we were unable to find the ‘dream home’ that would eventually have become a Bed & Breakfast. Fate intervened and placed the temptation of Chicago before us! We lived there for two and a half years, living in a beautiful apartment about 40 miles from downtown.
In March 2003, Chris was offered a position at UTK College of Veterinary Medicine. We love this area, with the Smokey Mountains, and wonderful people. So much so, within weeks of being here we bought a wonderful house
and had moved in by July 7th.
I have a brother, who still lives in Sheffield. Chris has a sister and she still lives in their hometown of Birmingham with her husband and three children.
